The server hosting searx.catfluori.de (and this blog) at Hetzner has been recently rescaled from CX11 to CPX11, going from one Intel CPU to two AMD EPYC CPUs. Storage was upgraded from 20 to 40 GB. As additional details, the server has 2 GB RAM and 10 GBit/s connectivity.
All in all, not a huge upgrade, but it feels indeed more responsive now. This is especially noticeable when searching for images, as the results page get populated much faster. Oh, by the way, thumbnails on images results’ pages are proxied by default. This is done for privacy, as in this way websites won’t see your IP, but only the IP of the search engine.
